About a month ago, we shared that our ground-breaking intelligent building technology had been nominated for the prestigious Proptech Germany Award 2024. We are beyond proud to announce that the beginning of September saw Bisly taking home the coveted trophy as we were named a winner at the Real Proptech Conference in Frankfurt.
The road to winning
Supported by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Protection in Germany, PropTech Germany brings together innovation drivers and industry leading companies in real estate, whilst allowing companies across Europe to present their solutions. Held for the fourth time, the reputable event saw over 160 participants introducing their ideas during the first round in July. Out of all the hopefuls, 33 were selected to advance to the next round where they had the chance to pitch their unique solutions to a jury of 26 experts. After that, nominees for the award were selected and ultimately it was Bisly’s innovative intelligent building solution that was named the winner of the esteemed Proptech Germany Award 2024.
In many ways, the Proptech Germany Award is the ultimate test for any European technology company, as a great idea or a good pitch on its own is simply not enough. In order to stand out among the competition and bring home the winning title, participants have to not only present with a truly ground-breaking and innovative solution, but also be able to back it up with a strong pitch and arguments as to why their idea is one worthy of the coveted award. Taking that into consideration, we couldn’t be prouder to add this prestigious title to Bisly’s growing list of hard-earned awards.
What made Bisly stand out?
One of the focal points of any technological innovation over the past few decades has been its sustainability. Energy efficiency is considered imperative when it comes to fighting climate change, thus any new system or solution introduced to the market should be focusing on helping improve energy efficiency in the field.
When it came to choosing the winner for the Proptech Germany Award 2024, Bisly stood out from the beginning thanks to its technology that focuses on bringing energy savings to the real estate market. Though there are many so-called legacy solutions in the intelligent building market, Bisly has a patented hardware and software platform that enables maximum energy savings without the unreasonably high price tag or unreliable quality. The objective of Proptech Germany is to find innovative, startup-style ideas that not only help improve the quality of solutions, but also lower the prices, thus making the solutions more accessible for the mass market.
The reason why Bisly stands out from the competitors is actually quite simple. Although there are existing solutions on the market, Bisly has come up with something that adds new value to the real estate market while also making the industry significantly more sustainable. To put it into perspective — Uber and Bolt were able to completely reimagine the world of taxis regardless of the same old system having been in place for decades.
Moving forward
Holding most of the market-share in Estonia and with an office in the UK, winning this prestigious award once again solidifies that Bisly’s innovative solution is being recognized far beyond its home and has the potential to expand all across Europe. Bisly has already entered the German market with several projects, which is also why the company decided to take part in the running for the Proptech Germany Award 2024. A house-hold name in Estonia, Bisly couldn’t be prouder to have been selected a winner of the esteemed award in Germany, selected by local experts in the field.
It is safe to say that bringing home this title perfectly reflects Bisly’s potential and commitment to taking its intelligent building solution to larger markets whilst getting Estonian engineers the recognition they deserve.
