Bisly raises €1.7m to extend the team and expand to new markets

Bisly, an Estonian technology company specializing in intelligent building solutions, has secured €1.7 million in funding to support its expansion across European markets.

The company's platform enables significant energy efficiency improvements in both residential and office buildings.

"Buildings consume up to 40% of energy in the EU and automated energy consumption can significantly cut this rate."

Siim Vips, founder and CEO

Currently, more than 20,000 Bisly controllers operate in Estonia, managing over 500,000 intelligent automation decisions daily.

The funding round attracted investors from multiple countries, including angel investors and prominent real estate sector figures. Notable backers include Viljar Arakas of EfTEN Capital and Pipedrive founders Timo Rein, Martin Henk, Martin Tajur, and Peep Vain. Enterprise Estonia's Green ICT program contributed €700,000 to support development.

Vips explained the capital infusion enables the company to "strengthen our sales and development team and expand to foreign markets." Bisly plans to establish a German subsidiary and enter Scandinavian, Austrian, and Swiss markets, where building automation growth rates are accelerating. Preliminary discussions regarding pilot projects in Asia are also underway.

Founded in 2018, Bisly currently employs 15 people, with expansion anticipated as international operations commence.
