Bisly is the winner of the Japanese innovation contest "Japan Challenge for Society 5.0"

Bisly emerged victorious in the "Japan Challenge for Society 5.0 – Accelerate Innovation with Japan" competition, a prestigious startup contest organized by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization). The contest drew participation from 292 businesses representing 53 countries.

The company's smart building solution competed in the "Environmental Friendliness" category, addressing how energy-efficient buildings contribute to reducing carbon emissions in the built environment.

"Such competitions are useful for several reasons, as they help open doors to new markets, but also receive genuine feedback from the target market."

Siim Vips, Bisly's Co-founder and CEO

The contest invited startups to address three categories of social challenges: Environmental Friendliness, Labor Shortage & Improving Productivity, or Smart & Resilient Japan.

Winners received valuable prizes including mentorship from Japanese experts, invitations to participate in a digital fair and CEATEC 2021 (one of Asia's largest information technology and electronics exhibitions held annually in Japan), plus opportunities to engage with Japan's local startup community.
