Bisly was among eleven Estonian firms chosen by Enterprise Estonia to showcase their innovations at Smart City Expo 2021 in Barcelona, Spain during November.
The Smart City Expo & World Congress represents the premier gathering in this sector, uniting municipal leaders, technology developers, research institutions, universities, manufacturers, and policy organizations. Since its inaugural year in 2011, the event has evolved into "a global reference event where experts of urban space and technological developments meet."
Bisly's smart building automation technology aims to enhance energy efficiency in both residential and commercial properties, thereby reducing environmental carbon emissions. The company notes that "buildings consume up to 40% of energy in the EU, and automated energy consumption can significantly reduce this rate."
The firm recently secured €1.7 million in funding to support its European expansion strategy, with Smart City Expo participation serving as a key milestone toward achieving international market penetration and recognition.
Bisly has already commenced exporting efforts, with residential buildings utilizing its technology scheduled for completion in Åland by year-end 2021. The organization maintains active market presence in Germany and Asia, while drawing interest from international real estate developers.
The expo encompasses discussions on energy, transportation, urban infrastructure, information technology solutions, smart governance, environmental sustainability, innovation, and related topics.
