Nová zelená úsporám funds apartment buildings past 2026. Put automation and metering into the same renovation.

The New Green Savings programme (Nová zelená úsporám) explicitly covers apartment buildings, with at least EUR 1.5 billion allocated and funding continuity secured beyond 2026 as the programme moves from EU Recovery funds to emissions-trading revenue. In parallel, Act No. 406/2000 Coll. and Decree No. 38/2022 Coll. have required building automation in large non-residential buildings since 1 January 2025. Bisly fits both, configured on site.

The obligation

What the programme and the law ask for

New Green Savings co-finances the energy renovation of apartment buildings, and the measured performance of the renovated building is what the programme is paying for. Metering, monitoring and control are what make that performance visible and defensible after the works are complete.

For non-residential buildings above 290 kW, Act No. 406/2000 Coll. with Decree No. 38/2022 Coll. has required a building automation and control system since 1 January 2025. There is a direct offset: a compliant system removes the statutory recurring heating-system inspection duty, a cost saving you can put straight into the business case.

Why Czechia fits a repeatable package

36.4% of Czechs live in buildings of ten or more units, district heating capacity stands at 37.9 GW thermal, and apartment prices around EUR 5,000 per m² make every renovation a serious capital decision. Most Central European programmes run out of money in 2026. This one does not.

A renovation programme that repeats across dozens of blocks is a procurement decision, not a technology one. One automation and metering package, defined once per building type and commissioned by a local electrical contractor from the app, is what makes it deliverable at that scale.
